Q&A with Amy:
What is something outside of radio you are passionate about? Animal Rescue is very near and dear to my heart. I have volunteered with many rescues in the past and firmly believe that we are the voice for the animals. Right now I have 3 cats and a dog but that number is very low for me! I would save them all if I could!
What is your favorite season and why? Well my favorite weather is a nice snowy day- (yes it’s true!) But my favorite season has to be Fall. The buildup of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas just feels so magical to me. The vibe is different that time of year and creates such nostalgic feelings for me.
What does a day of fun look like to you? I’m very much a homebody, so just staying home with my animals and relaxing is always good. One of my most favorite things to do though, is going ghost hunting! I’m a big fan of the paranormal and have caught some crazy evidence at various locations.
What are you currently watching on TV? I always have Friends on every single night. That’s my comfort show! Alternatively, I love to watch Ghost Adventures or anything scary on Travel Channel and also 90 Day Fiancé.
What is something you want to learn more about? I have always had an affinity for the Spanish Culture. I took 7 years of Spanish in school and have continued practicing the language well into adulthood. The food, the culture, the people- I love everything about it. I joke with my family that I must have been Spanish in a past life because it just resonates so much with me.
If you weren’t working in radio, what would you choose for a career? Growing up I was always determined to be a singer/songwriter and pursued that until my early 20’s. That, however, did not work out! At this point in life, I would probably choose to work with animals in some capacity.
Who is your favorite artist or band of all time? I feel like most people know this answer- The Bee Gees of course! I discovered them when I was 12 and now 30 years later, they are still my #1! I actually got to see Barry Gibb live in Boston in 2014 and it was absolutely surreal! Their late 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s music will always be my favorite! If you’re not familiar with it, check it out! It’s a completely different sound.
