The first Chocolate Festival 'Mingled wity Wine' will be held from 10 am to 5 pm in Tonawandas Gateway Harbor Park with the merchants on Webster street in North Tonawanda and Main street on the City of Tonawanda. It will be a day of entertainment, shopping and sampling of the finest wine, assorted beverages or the ever favorite hot chocolate. Dozens of chocolatiers, vendors and merchants will be selling and offering samples of fine chocolates and sweets. Here's a sample of what to look foward to: stylish, waterfront setting; pancake breakfast, children/adult events and games; chocolate art; a candy assembly line contest;a Chocolate King and Queen Contest; chocolate Quizmaster Trivia and our favorite Find the Golden Ticket!!

14 Holy Helpers Parish, will be holding its 1st ever Octoberfest on Saturday October 2nd 2010. Doors will open at 6pm, and it will run until 11 PM that evening. Tickets are pre-sale and limited to the 1st 250 sold. Your ticket will include entry, and a traditional German Dinner. Music that night will be provided by the Auslanders. Drinks will be available at a nominal fee. Tickets are $20.00 each, or a couple is $35.00. Town of West Seneca Halloween Parade (COMMUNITY)
Time: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Location: Southgate Plaza

Kids of all ages can dress up in costume and march in the town Halloween Parade along side various school marching bands and fire trucks. The parade meets at town hall at 11:30am and marches down Union Road at noon. The parade ends at the Southgate Plaza where everyone can enjoy free donuts and cider and a costume contest.

Meat Raffle (fund raiser)

On Saturday October 23rd, 2010 Our Lady of Pompeii will be holding a meat raffle in the school hall at 129 Laverack, Lancaster. This events prizes will not only include plenty of turkeys, hams and roasts in time for the holiday season but also plenty of chicken, chops and steaks as well. Other features of this event include a theme basket auction, 50/50’s and door prizes. Admission is $5 in advance or $6 at the door and includes beer, wine, soft drinks, sandwich/pizza & snacks.
