The Sea Lion Rescue Run 5K supports the care of our 11 rescued sea lions and seals, which have been deemed non-releasable-unable to survive in the wild.
The 5K will take place on a certified course, starting at the picnic shelter at Whirlpool State Park; South toward the overpass to a turnaround area; the course will head back North towards Devil’s Hole State Park and turn around to head back South toward Whirlpool State Park to the finish line.
Healthy nourishment of snacks and beverages will be available at the State Park, followed by an Awards Reception at the Aquarium of Niagara. The awards will be truly unique-each painting made by one of our rescued sea lions! The Awards Reception will feature healthy snacks and beverages along with music and entertainment including a sea lion show!
All Sea Lion Rescue Run 5K participants will receive free admission to the Aquarium for the entire day.
