The SUNY Erie Community College Diversity Academy presents An Evening with Debby Irving, racial justice educator and author of “Waking Up White.”
SUNY Erie’s Diversity Academy hosted SUNY Erie Reads during the Fall 2019 semester to start the conversation on equity and diversity at the College. The dialogue centered on the book Waking Up White and Finding Myself in the Story of Race by Debby Irving. Join us for a presentation from the author herself as she bravely describes her journey from white oblivion to white awareness in an honest way that may inspire others to do such transformational work on themselves.
